Functional Neurological Testing

If you want to correctly recover from injury, gain the best understanding of your body function and optimize your performance, you NEED to analyze and assess deeply

This is why when assessing function, health and well-being, objective measures are vital! You need to know where your body and CNS has developed dysfunction; and you need to be able to KNOW when you're responding and improving. Over the last 6 months we've been mastering 2 new objective measures. We test levels of motor control and autonomic nerve system function through thermography and sEMG to determine how efficiently these systems are functioning.

Like all functions in the body, we have a degree of ‘normal’ readings that most people fall within. Take blood pressure for example, when it drops to low, or when it rises to high, we know that this is a sign of certain physiological distress and dysfunction. These similar indicators can be measured using the spine, spinal musculature and neurological activity associated with such, to determine your base level of function and where you may be working above or below those normal ranges. If those signs of distress and dysfunction with functional complaints or injuries, we know we’re working in the right places to help you with your unique presentation.

Follow-up scans and results teach us a lot. It’s a great way for you to see how far you’ve improved under care! Not only will you improve, feel better and move better, you will KNOW that on the deepest levels of body function, you're health, well-being and performance are improving also.
